About the Venue
Amager Bio is one of the largest venues in Copenhagen with about 200 concerts and cultural events a year. It is known for its cosy atmosphere and great acoustics and sound technology. It has a capacity of 1100 standing, 600 seated and 360 dining guests. The program includes nearly every genre – from death metal to the softest of pop music.
We strive to make the venue emanate with passion – the same passion we have for it and music in general, thus giving the audience the best possible experience – from the entrance, to the bar and the superb sound. We will do our very best to provide the right conditions for your concert-experience, whether you want to head bang in front of the stage, or simply hang out and talk to other visitors in the entrance hall.
In most of 2018 Amager Bio will be revamped, with a better conditions for audience and musicians alike, as well as a slightly increased capacity.

After a year full of privation and a lean period of live gigs, we can already look forward to Winter 2021: With HEAVEN SHALL BURN and TRIVIUM, two metal bands are going on a European tour to heat up the cold months.
After a two year break from concerts, during which Heaven Shall Burn released the epic double album Of Truth and Sacrifice, reaching number one on the German charts, they wanted to get started playing live again in 2020 but the Coronavirus had other plans. From the elaborate stage scenery to the unbelievable energy that Heaven Shall Burn displays again and again, every concert is an adventure. Hardly any other German band has impressively tied political and social topics, such as animal and human rights, into the metal scene known for it’s heavy riffs and circle pits.
Trivium can’t wait to get back on stage. One of the most important metal bands of the 21st Century, are finally able to play their new songs. In Spring 2020 Trivium released their ninth album What The Dead Men Say, with the band’s typical mixture of devastating harshness, technical demands, great melodies and irresistible hooks, this new album once again promises great live moments.
Heaven Shall Burn and Trivium will be supported by none other than Prog-Metal TesseracT and Deathcore power Fit For An Autopsy.
THIS is the tour to bring back touring in Europe!

BAEST have prepared a serious ass-whoopin’ for you, at Amager Bio, when they open the doors to their own festival NECRO FEST, 18th of December 2021.
BAEST have had their seasonal abysmal festivities on different stages the last 5 years, but with a horrendous 2020, with three firstly sold-out, then cancelled shows, BAEST decided to step up their game, making the wait worth its while!
BAEST come from Aarhus in Denmark and have successfully established themselves as one of the country’s most promising metal acts in recent years. While deeply rooted in straight-forward classic death metal inspired by genre legends like Dismember, Entombed, Morbid Angel, Death, and Bolt Thrower, the 2015 formed band evolved from a Danish underground phenomenon to an internationally touring act (2018 tour with Abbath, 2019 EU/UK trek with Decapitated). Also, at festivals like Summer Breeze, Copenhell, Ruhrpott Metal Meeting, Roskilde, they left audiences impressed and begging for more. After their already praised debut album “Danse Macabre” the band took it to the next level in 2019 and delivered “Venenum” where they refined their already steamroller-like signature sound. With the expectation-bar already set so high for their next record BAEST truly drops their most anticipated and most important album so far.
The vicious monster of energy Killing comes from east Jutland, Denmark. Formed late 2013, with the sole purpose of writing uncompromising thrash metal, as in the good old days. Inspiration is drawn from the golden era of the genre, where bands like Slayer, Exodus, Kreator, and Metallica ruled the stage with an iron fist.
With a modern mix of old-school trash, hardcore and groove metal, SLET DET has made their own crossover universe. SLET DET was formed in Aarhus DK in the beginning of 2020, and their critically acclaimed debut ‘Start Forfra’ was released late 2020.
GAFFA wrote: “At this point, one really finds that Denmark has a new thrash/death-metal band, who knows how to deliver.” HeavyMetal.dk wrote: “think of the energy of Power Trip, the no compromise of Machine Head, som Slayer riffs and the groove from Down”.
Plaguemace forces the listener to groove with their bonebreaking trashy death’n’roll. Musically inspiration is drawn from High On Fire, Entombed, Grave and Motörhead., spiced with brutal breakdowns and spine-crushing grooves. The band has an intention to serve a rock’n’roll explosion of the highest caliber, and their’ over-the-top death-circus has only one goal; to burn any stage, anywhere, down to the ground.
Kampvogn from Aarhus presents low-fi death metal from the gutters, with putrid riffs, a hint of scandinavian melody and punk-rock d-beats. Kampvogns danse macabre is built on a rotten pile of stories and themes of the First World War, and they take no prisoners when they commence their ritual.
